About JSTAY

JSTAY Radio Show was established by a group of students at UCLA in Westwood, CA. After meeting at UCLA, founders Alyssa, Yuumna, Shannon, Jimmy and Tiffany, joined together to create a space to discuss information regarding the prison system. The first episode was launched in September of 2019. They founded this show to have an open dialogue about the issue of mass incarceration of black and brown lives.

incarceration & covid-19 acknowledgement:

As researchers of COVID-19 and mass incarceration, we have never tested positive for COVID-19 nor have we been detained or incarcerated by any American enforcement agency. Our experiences and identities have informed the way we have approached the topics and there may be times where we are inaccurate in our claims and assumptions. With this, we welcome any constructive criticism as it relates to this project. Our aim is to create space for discussion and education of the mass incarceration of black and brown lives and COVID-19.
